High School Upgrading

Chinook is the largest High School Upgrading centre in Alberta, serving thousands of part-time students annually. Students come to Chinook to complete, upgrade or enhance their high school diplomas as they prepare to enter post-secondary institutions or the world of work. Chinook offers morning, afternoon and evening classes, multiple intakes, and specialized programs to allow students flexibility in achieving their goals. Chinook welcomes individual International Students to enrol in our High School Upgrading programs.

School Development Plan
Alberta Education requires each school to create a plan to improve student learning. The School Development Plan aligns individual school goals with the identified goals in CBE Education Plan | 2021 - 2024. Each year, schools capture evidence of continuous improvement towards the goals set.

Identity Statements
The following identity statements emerged through staff engagement and discussion. They encapsulate the philosophical/educational underpinnings of High School Upgrading.
