Program Information
Chinook welcomes individual International students to enrol in our Fall/Winter High School Upgrading program. International students 18-20 years of age may enrol in daytime and evening classes. International students over 20 years of age (as of Sept. 1 of the current school year) may enrol in evening classes. At Chinook, you may:
- Obtain Alberta high school credits
- Prepare for your post-secondary education
- Study with highly qualified teachers who will help you meet your academic goals
Fees apply for International Students. Visit Fall/Winter Course Fees for more information.
Eligibility
International students are required to have adequate English language proficiency.
Along with your English benchmark, we require a copy of your home country transcripts. Your transcripts and benchmark will be reviewed by an academic advisor. If Chinook Learning Services is able to offer the appropriate courses for you we will issue a Letter of Acceptance upon receipt of a registration form and payment of tuition fees in full. It is the student's responsibility to apply for their Study Permit. A valid Study Permit must be provided prior to the beginning of the semester. International Students with a Study Permit are required to be full-time students. We are unable to offer full-time studies to students over 20 years of age.
