High School Upgrading

In-Person Learning

Chinook Learning Services is the Calgary Board of Education's provider of in-person High School Upgrading and completion. Students of all ages come to Chinook to:

  • Complete a high school diploma.
  • Increase competitive average and/or deepen curricular understanding as a bridge to post-secondary.
  • Upgrade to a higher academic stream.
  • Learn in an inclusive, adult environment.

Chinook offers morning, afternoon and evening classes, multiple intakes, and programs to allow students flexibility in achieving their goals. Chinook welcomes individual International Students to enrol in our High School Upgrading programs.

Applications for High School Upgrading are accepted only twice a year, during the fall and winter semesters. We do not process applications at any other times. Students who are still eligible to attend their home high school cannot register with Chinook Learning Services for the fall or winter semesters.

Teachers

Our dedicated and experienced teachers can help you reach your academic goals. We offer a variety of Student Supports to help you while you learn.

Exploring Career Choices with the CBE
