For High School Upgrading Programs

Beginning February 2026, all in-person High School Upgrading courses will be relocated downtown to 332 - 6 Ave SE, Calgary, AB (Bow Valley College). The new location consolidates Chinook's High School Upgrading courses to one central location. All Registration and Classroom Learning courses for High School Upgrading will continue to be offered and run by Chinook.

Chinook adult Continuing Education (non-credit) will continue to operate independently from High School Upgrading and is not impacted by the relocation.

Public Transportation

Students are encouraged to take public transportation, if possible.

Our downtown location is easily accessible via the City Hall/Bow Valley College CTrain Station, which is situated in the 7 Avenue Free Fare Zone. This station serves as a major hub for both the north and south CTrain lines, making it a convenient point for students and staff. Furthermore, several bus routes also stop near this location.

Building Access for Students

Chinook will run its High School Upgrading courses primarily out of the North Campus building at Bow Valley College. Students can access the North Campus either directly, or through the South Campus doors, located on the westbound CTrain platform.

• The Plus15 can be accessed on the second floor of the North and South campus. The Plus15 closes at 6:00 PM.
• The Plus30 can be accessed on the third floor of the North and South campus and is exclusive to students and staff. It is open 24 hours/day.

Find Your Classroom Location with the Pedesting App

The majority of Chinook classrooms are located in the North Campus. Signage will be installed, and wayfinding support will be provided on-site. Students who need assistance can visit the Chinook office on the 3^rd floor of the North Campus.

Students are encouraged to use the Pedesting App to get to their room. Download the Pedesting App for your phone and enter in Bow Valley College as the location:

Safe Walk Program

Safe Walk is a resource available to all staff and students. Campus Security personnel will escort members of either group to their vehicle; bus stops or any other location that meets the requirements below.

• Within a two-block radius of the North and South Campus.
• Safe Walk is located at the Campus Security Desk, on the first floor of North Campus.

Bike Storage

Secure bicycle storage is available free of charge, after students complete a waiver. See the Chinook Office onsite for details.

Paid Parking

There is limited, unreserved, paid parking available. Bow Valley College has limited underground parking beneath the South Campus and limited spots available in the West Parking lot beside the North Campus. However, students are strongly encourage to use public transportation.
