Core Course
Interdisciplinary subject; it draws on history, geography, economics, law and political science. Social Studies 30-2 uses these areas to examine liberalism. Content, skills and attitudes are similar but Social Studies 30-2 is less challenging in depth of concept development and critical thinking than Social Studies 30-1.

- Prerequisite | minimum 50% in Social Studies 20-1, Social Studies 20-2 or equivalent (strong written and communication skills are recommended)

Attendance |
Regular attendance throughout the semester is required for success. You must attend the first two classes of the semester or contact your teacher with a valid reason for your absence. If you are absent for the first two classes without contacting your teacher, you will be withdrawn to make room for students on the waitlist. |

Each class includes a scheduled 15 minute break. If a classroom section has filled, you can be placed on a waiting list. Phone 403-777-7200 for information. Times, dates and locations are subject to change.
