ELL Beginning Language Intensive |
|
A continuous intake class for newly arriving Language Proficiency (LP) Level 1 students who cannot be provided with high school programming due to age (18 -20 years of age). The purpose of this class would be to foster communicative English language proficiency and provide students with experiential opportunities that would help them to gain confidence in their new community (e.g., field trips, cultural experiences, hands-on activities, role plays, etc.), and to develop an appropriate level of academic language aimed at helping students continue to move forward with their education.
