EAL Level 3/4

English as an Additional Language Course

EAL Level 3/4 is intended to help the intermediate English as an Additional Language (EAL) learner develop their social and academic communication skills. The course will focus on:

  • Studying a variety of expository and literary texts
  • Developing vocabulary
  • Enhancing oral and written responses

As students continue to extend their skills in listening, speaking, reading, writing, and representing they can be assessed at a Level 4, and these students must demonstrate English language proficiency at an advanced level.

  • Prerequisite | must demonstrate English language proficiency at an advanced level
  • Enrol | Registration & Fees | beginning December 8, start the online application process. All ages can attend all courses.

Attendance

Regular attendance throughout the semester is required for success. You must attend the first two classes of the semester or contact your teacher with a valid reason for your absence. If you are absent for the first two classes without contacting your teacher, you will be withdrawn to make room for students on the waitlist.
