Fast-Track Certificate
Communication is more than just speaking, hearing, or having a good vocabulary. Communicating successfully depends on the effective use of communication strategies and behaviors in order to maintain positive relationship dynamics at work and at home. This group of courses explores concepts of conflict management, cultural and gender communication differences, listening, relationship dynamics, self-esteem, and verbal and nonverbal expression.
The program must be completed within one (1) year of initial registration. Extensions will be considered; requests for extension must be submitted in writing to chinookconted@cbe.ab.ca.
Fees
Pay the $25 Communication Essentials Certificate Registration fee to maintain and track your progress. All course fees are specified individually. Please refer to each course. Course challenges and equivalencies are not accepted for Fast-Track Certificates.
Assessments
You are required to complete all in-class assessments and issued assignments. You may be required to complete an assessment outside of class time.
Registration Options
Classes have limited space and can fill up if you delay. If a class is full, you may add your name to the waiting list. Waitlisted students will be notified of any vacancies. Classes may be added based on demand.
Earn a Digital Badge
This Professional Development course qualifies for a Communication Skills Essentials Digital Badge.
Digital Badges are designed to help you effectively communicate your skills and accomplishments online. Each credential is certified by Chinook Learning Services and includes verified metadata describing the type of qualification and the process required to earn it. These badges can be utilized in email signatures, digital resumes, personal websites, and social media platforms. They serve as a valuable tool for enhancing opportunities in the workforce.
