Funding Opportunities for Indigenous
& Métis Students |
|
Did You Know?
Statistics Canada reports that only 10% of Indigenous people graduate from university, compared to 27% of non-Indigenous people. Research conducted by Indspire.ca (external), an organization that invests in education, shows that lack of financial resources is the number one barrier for Indigenous students in completing their post-secondary education. Fortunately, there are a growing number of funding resources and programs available for Indigenous people's post-secondary studies, and not just in Calgary.
