Understanding Students at Risk of Dropping Out |
|
Fee: $69
This teacher professional development course will teach you about your students who may be identified as at risk of dropping out of school either now or in the future. The course will teach you about the common early warning indicators for student dropouts and the potential root causes of those indicators to help you better understand all the students with varying needs who enter your classroom. You will explore what support looks like for students at risk of dropping out and evaluate what happens when a teacher does not understand them. You will also learn about the REACH OUT Method for students, providing you with numerous strategies to consider as you work to support your students in the classroom. The course comes with a downloadable PDF of the content, quizzes, and videos to help you test your knowledge and a REACH OUT resource for later reference.
