Trauma-Informed Teaching Strategies for PreK - Grade 5 |
|
Fee: $69
This teacher professional development course was created to help you better understand your elementary students who may have experienced some form of trauma in their life. You will explore examples of students in the Pre-K - Grade 5 classroom, analyze acute, chronic, and complex trauma, identify specific experiences of elementary children that can lead to trauma, and evaluate specific strategies for building a trauma-informed classroom. You will learn about the four C's (comfort, consistency, compassion, and connection) of trauma-informed education so that you have specific strategies in mind to support your students throughout your classroom lessons. The course comes with a downloadable PDF of the content and a four C's resource you can use as a reference guide later in your classroom.
