Funding
Employers are required to cover 50% of the total eligible training costs for existing employees. The government contributes the remaining 50% of these costs, up to a maximum of $5,000 per employed trainee per fiscal year. When hiring and training an unemployed Albertan, employers may receive coverage of up to 75% of eligible training costs, with a maximum of $10,000 per trainee per fiscal year.
