This session introduces large language models (LLMs), the AI technology behind tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, and Claude. Participants will learn what LLMs are, explore different model options, and understand the features that distinguish them. The session compares free and paid AI services, examines key risks such as bias, privacy, and misinformation, and highlights differences between educational and corporate AI environments. This practical course covers:
- Writing effective prompts,
- Understanding the importance of iteration
- Exploring various output formats
Through live instruction and interactive demonstrations, participants are introduced to agentic AI, discover why AI hallucinates, and discuss AI’s potential impact on education, work, and society. See Course Outline.
