 Debra Ward
For the last 15 years, Debra Ward has enjoyed teaching a wide array of art courses to adult learners and children. A graduate, with a scholarship award, from the Alberta College of Art, Debra is a working artist who teaches traditional and contemporary painting skills.
Debra enjoys introducing people to art and watching each individual unfold to a new way of seeing. She has an excellent working knowledge in many art mediums and techniques including: acrylics, new ‘open’ acrylics, oils, all drawing media, the figure, perspective drawing, sketchbook journaling, monotypes and the plein-air experience. Debra is a juried artist on the roster of the Alberta Foundation for the Arts and has worked with thousands of young people creating huge wall murals and teaching drawing and painting.
