Now that you have mastered the basic skills of sewing, using a sewing machine and cutting out easy patterns, learn to work with difficult fitting problems, how to adjust commercial patterns, make bound buttonholes, and work with plaids, stripes and one-way patterns. Develop many more skills and ideas, including working with special fabrics such as velvets, satins and chiffons.
We provide sewing machines and bobbins for use in class. Handouts will be provided in first class. Bring your own sewing kit including tape measure, pen, pencil, notebook, scissors, hand and machine sewing needles, pen, and a pincushion. Patterns and fabric will be discussed in first class.
