CBE Recognition of the Certificate
The Calgary Board of Education recognizes the completion of each level of the OACP program as post-secondary education through the job competition and screening process for CBE office administration positions. How it works:
- Level 1 is equivalent to two months of post-secondary education
- Level 2 is equivalent to three months of post-secondary education
- Level 3 is equivalent to three months of post-secondary education
- Level 4 is equivalent to three months of post-secondary education
- Level 5 is equivalent to three months of post-secondary education
When you have completed the entire program, it is equivalent to 14 months of post-secondary education.
As a comparison, most office administration certificates granted by other recognized post-secondary institutions are equivalent to one year of post-secondary education, where a diploma in office administration is equivalent to two years of post-secondary education.
As with all learning, the CBE will also acknowledge, recognize and celebrate the success of our employees in differentiating themselves as lifelong learners and in making a significant contribution to the Calgary Board of Education through office administrative excellence.
