Testing & Accommodation Centres

Testing & Accommodations Centres will be open from 9:30 AM - 2:20 PM at all Summer School Locations for 2024.

Accommodations

Testing & Accommodation Centres will be open for students who require accommodations. Limited assistance is available at each school site to support students requiring:

• Use of inclusive technologies
• A quiet environment to write tests or complete assignments

During Summer School, any student who requires accommodations can use the facility. A student’s requirement for accommodations must be discussed and agreed upon with the teacher prior to any exam. If you received special accommodations during the regular school year you will likely qualify to receive them for Summer School as well. New requests for special accommodations may not be accepted.

Testing

The Testing Centres will be available to students who need to write a test at a different time other than class time, or require extra time as agreed upon with their teacher.

• Students should access the Testing Centre outside of class time when possible, to minimize their time away from classroom teaching time.
• Students requiring audio or speech to text capabilities will need to work with their teacher and test centre coordinator to arrange for these accommodations.
