Registration & Fees

The Registration Office and Information Desk will be CLOSED from Monday, December 24, 2018 to Wednesday, January 2, 2019 inclusive. They reopen on Thursday, January 3, 2019.

Registration Information for Fall, Winter & Summer

Book Your Registration Appointment OnlineStudents 18 years of age and older and not attending a high school will meet with an advisor during their registration appointment. High school students currently attending a high school in the Calgary area must have a Prerequisite Information Form (PIF) signed by their high school counsellor. Enrol early - courses may fill or be cancelled due to low registration. A Course Placement Test will be available and could be required, at registration.

Fee Information for Fall, Winter & Summer

Course fees are due at the time of registration. A service fee of $25 is charged for all NSF cheques.

Debit card, VISA or MasterCard cardholders must have signing authority or a letter permitting use. All Chinook students are required to have a Chinook Photo ID Card.

Chinook welcomes individual International Students to study in our Adult ESL programs. Adult ESL students must be 18 years of age or older.

Chinook welcomes individual International students 18 years of age or older to enrol in our High School Upgrading and Summer School programs. International students under 20 may enrol in daytime and evening classes. International students over 20 may enrol in evening Fall and Winter classes as well as Summer School classes.

Income Tax Policy for High School Upgrading

Students taking High School Upgrading courses cannot claim a tuition or education amount for income tax purposes (T2202A). For more information, see Definitions for Education and Textbook Amount under the heading "Post-Secondary School Level" (external link, Canada Revenue Agency).
