ESL Registration

To register into an ESL course:

1. Call (403) 777-6330 to make an appointment for a placement test
2. Talk to a course advisor to plan your courses
3. Get funding information, if needed. Registration is on-going

Please bring one of the following to the placement test: Canadian Passport, Student Visa, Canadian Citizenship Certificate or Landed Immigration documents.

ESL Resident Fees

• Core Courses: 12 hours per week for 7 weeks
  • $620 / Core Course
  • $670 / Core Course beginning Fall 2008 (Term 1 & 2)
• Skill Courses: 4 hours per week for 7 weeks
  • $210 / Skill Course
  • $225 / Skill Course beginning Fall 2008 (Term 1 & 2)
• Accelerated Academic Preparation Course: 20 hours per week for 14 weeks
  • $2080 / Accelerated Academic Preparation Course
  • $2240 / Accelerated Academic Preparation Course beginning Fall 2008 (Term 1 & 2)
• LINC: Students receive up to 1200 hours of free instruction. Tuition is free of charge for those students qualifying for the LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) program

ESL Text Fees

All students enrolled in Core and Accelerated Academic Preparation classes must pay:

• Book Fee: $85.00 / semester
• Book Fee: $95.00 / semester beginning Fall 2008 (Term 1 & 2)

Students enrolled in TOEFL Strategies must purchase a TOEFL preparation text ($55.00 approximately).
