1. Download and complete Chinook's International Student Application Form (.pdf document)

2. Submit the application form with tuition for a minimum of one term.

3. Your letter of acceptance will be mailed to you immediately.

Visa Requirements

  • If you want to study at Chinook Learning Services for longer than six months, you need to obtain a Study Permit. Chinook Learning Services will issue a letter of acceptance for this purpose upon receipt of the application form and tuition for one term. Please note you must be a full-time student if you have a Study Permit.
  • If you want to study at Chinook Learning Services for less than six months, you can do so with a Temporary Resident Permit. Please note you can study on a part-time or full-time basis with a Temporary Resident Visa.

Health Insurance

All International Students are required to have health insurance and this is included as part of the ESL full-time program tuition. If you are taking the High School Upgrading program, insurance is extra and costs $250 per semester. Policy information will be available upon arrival.

Accommodation

Chinook Learning Services can arrange for Homestay. Please indicate on the application form if you would like us to arrange accommodation for you. Please note that airport pick-up is included as part of the homestay placement service.

Refund and Withdrawal Policy

If you receive a VISA and are unable to attend due to special circumstances, your fees will be credited to the next semester or returned less $150 administration fee. If you are unable to get a VISA, your tuition fees will be refunded less a $50 administration fee. Written notification must be received before the program begins. Students who withdraw within two weeks of program start date will be refunded 75% of program fees upon receipt of written notification.
