Introduction to SDL - Part A and B
You must attend the mandatory Introduction to SDL - Part A and Part B sessions at Viscount Bennett Centre prior to receiving the materials to begin your Self-Directed course. For November 2008 intakes:
- Introduction to SDL - Part A
September 2, 3, 4 or 8, 2008 (choose one date)
- Introduction to SDL - Part B
September 15, 16 or 17, 2008 (choose one date)
At these Mandatory Sessions You Will
- Discover “what it takes” to be a successful Self-Directed learner
- Meet your subject teacher
- Complete and review a Self-Directed self-assessment and determine your suitability for independent learning
- Complete & sign the Learning Agreement for Success
- Learn the mechanics & operation of a D2L account
- Receive course outline, first unit materials & fixed assignment/test schedules & teacher contact information
