 Sandra Valchi
Sandra holds a teaching degree from Argentina with specialization in Spanish as a foreign language and certification as a court interpreter and translator. Spanish is her first language and she is also fluent in English and Italian. Sandra is a lifelong learner who continually upgrades her knowledge and skills, despite having more than 20 years of experience. She has attended numerous workshops with the most prestigious teachers from Spain and Latin America.
Sandra has worked with children and adults in the Calgary Board of Education, as well as business executives, diplomats and foreign government officers. She started working with the CBE in 2002 when her family relocated to Canada. She has worked as a teacher, interpreter/translator, and has performed language assessments to candidates applying for bilingual positions.
Sandra is passionate about teaching. "Keeping the students’ interest in learning a language is sometimes challenging but being able to lead a group who have started at a beginner level and are progressing to advanced levels in their road to fluency is one of the most rewarding experiences."
