 Romina Torta
Romina Torta obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Modern Languages from London South Bank University in England and has earned certifications in teaching Italian as a second language from the University of Siena, in Tuscany, Italy. Italian is her first language however Romina is also fluent in French and English.
She arrived in Canada in 2009 and began teaching Italian with Chinook Learning Services and other educational institutions. Romina has been a language learner for many years and it has given her a broad understanding of the difficulties and challenges of learning a second language. She encourages and creates a supportive and communicative learning environment so students feel at ease, have fun and all learning styles are appropriately considered and respected. She is fascinated by the world of languages, and has a great passion for teaching.
Romina says: “Learning a new language can be like being born again into a new world.”
