Judy Keen
Judy Keen began sewing at a young age. She was fortunate to have been mentored by a neighbour who was a Grades 6-8 Home Economics teacher. She attended the University of Alberta and graduated with a B. Sc. (H. Ec.) in 1969 with a major in Clothing and Textiles and a minor in Foods and Nutrition. She has continued to sew as a hobby for the past 50 years and began crocheting about 3 years ago.
Judy has been an instructor with Continuing Education at Chinook Learning Services for 25 years and continues to find satisfaction in the transition that occurs from the first class to the last one in a course. She enjoys watching participants learn new skills and shares their enthusiasm as they complete their projects. It is a pleasure for her to see them wear their garments to the final class.
