Sewing with Knits
10 Classes - Fee: $269
T-shirts, skirts, dresses, tank tops, jogging suits, shorts... popular clothing in today's world. Practice making ribbed necklines and cuffs, inserting elastic, applying zippers, choosing patterns and applique work. Use all these skills to make very economical children's clothes in particular. Fabric and patterns will be discussed at first class. Recommended prerequisite: basic sewing skills.
We provide sewing machines and bobbins for use in class. Handout will be provided. Fabric and patterns will be discussed in first class. Bring your own sewing kit to include ballpoint size 11 sewing machine needles, pins (glass head), pincushion, tape measure, scissors, pen, pencil, and notebook. Be prepared to take measurements in first class.
