Now that you've got the basics, you can continue with more intricate projects such as a blouse, seam finishes and zipper application skills. Make lots of samples of the techniques to keep for future reference. When you've finished, you will easily be able to choose fabrics, and patterns, as well as do fitting adjustments, cut out garments, and sew and finish them like a professional. As you master the basic skills and techniques, you can add new projects in child, teen or adult sizes. Learn lots of little tricks to make your sewing experience fun and relaxing.
We provide sewing machines for use in class. You may bring your own sewing machine and manual if it will make you more comfortable. Students should bring their own sewing kit (including needle, thread, tape measure, seam ripper, scissors), pencil/pen, and paper. Students will provide their own supplies. This will be discussed in class.
