Paint Creatively with Watermedia - All Year

Leave 'safe' behind and learn to stretch your creative muscles in this process/media driven course. We will work primarily with watercolour and acrylic paint, adding other media when needed to get the desired results. These include the use of inks, collage, crayons or anything else the work needs. Explore different painting surfaces and methods such as Yupo paper, monoprinting and collage. The main question you will be asking yourself is 'What would happen if ...?' You will be encouraged to try it and then to respond to what happens on the work. This course has an emphasis on FUN, with many demonstrations and plenty of time to PLAY! To quote Brian Atyeo, 'Creative painting is not about doing it right, it is about learning from each brush mark you make, right or wrong.' Painting time outside of class is required. Serious students should consider 'Painting with Watermedia All Year - Intermediate to Advanced' as an adjunct class for a complete learning experience. Supplies not included.
