AttendanceRegular attendance throughout the semester is required for success. You must attend the first two classes of the semester or contact your teacher with a valid reason for your absence. If you are absent for the first two classes without contacting your teacher, you will be withdrawn to make room for students on the waitlist. Refunds & WithdrawalsIf you were 20 years of age or older as of September 1 of the current school year, course fees include a non-refundable Program Fee of $65. A full refund is given only when a class is cancelled by Chinook Learning Services. Refunds are not issued after the refund deadline or for non-attendance. Textbooks must be returned at the time of withdrawal. You will be invoiced for the full replacement cost of the textbook if not returned.
Students 19 years of age or younger as of September 1 of the current school year are permitted to withdraw up until the withdrawal deadline. After the withdrawal deadline, students will remain on the class list and the mark they have earned will appear on their transcript. TransfersTransfers are not applicable to summer school. For the fall and winter semesters, transfers refer to a student moving between sections of the same course or to a more appropriate level of the same subject. Once classes have begun, transfers between two different subjects are not allowed. Transfers after the deadline date will be considered only in exceptional circumstances. Transfers will not be permitted from one term into subsequent terms. Re-registration procedures and fees apply.
