Course Review #1

I recently completed the EAL2 course at Chinook Learning Services, and I really enjoyed the experience. The course was well organized and full of useful content that I could quickly apply in my work at school. I started seeing positive results with my students right away. The instructor was friendly, supportive, and knowledgeable, which made learning both easy and enjoyable. I especially liked learning about the science of reading - how the brain learns language - and using new strategies to support students and track their progress. This course helped me feel more confident when I assist students and gave me practical tools I can use every day. Thank you!

Taking these EAL Assistant classes opened my eyes to a very real need in the majority of our classrooms, and taught me how to better meet the needs of the students for whom English is not their first or only language. The very practical strategies and topics covered will definitely improve my interactions with the students and other staff so that I can help them receive the best education experience possible.
