Summer School 2008 AnswersSummer School 2012: July 3 to 31

  • How many courses can I take in Summer School?
One summer course represents a full-time program.
  • Can I start my course late or finish early?
Each day of summer instruction is the equivalent of one week of a semestered high school program. Due to the already abbreviated nature of the term, no provision will be made for missed classes, or for the late start or early release of students. You are expected to attend every class as scheduled and to be present to write the final examination. Final examinations cannot be rescheduled.
  • Can I access Special Accommodations for my Summer School course?
Yes, accommodations for special needs students will be available. Visit the ALISOMA Centre (Accommodation & Testing Centre) for more details
  • Can I access Special Accommodations for the Provincial Diploma Exams?
If you received Special Accommodations for Diploma Examinations during the regular school year you will likely qualify to receive them for Summer School as well. You must apply through Student Services prior to the deadline. Documentation must be provided.
  • When will my marks be available?
Diploma marks will be mailed to students from Alberta Education. Non-diploma marks will be mailed to your home from Chinook Learning Services.
