The main focus of the program is to foster reading skills and strategies such as using contextual cues, decoding, and reading for understanding. Students will begin to construct meaning using contextual cues and will "play" with their language to apply and retain these strong reading skills and strategies. Students will also enjoy a variety of other activities such as reading games, balance and coordination training through physical education activities, and further development of fine and gross motor skills through a variety of application activities.
Setting your child up for success in reading is a key component to their overall educational program; Reading For Success is a great precursor to the new school year that focuses on this need while also targeting some of the physical readiness skills that will help your deaf or hard of hearing child to reach their full potential in their academics and in life.
