Chinook International Programs
We can provide a range of learning opportunities for visiting school groups. These programs range from two to three weeks and involve student groups of 20 or more with their accompanying teachers.
- Spring Programs: May include engagement with Canadian schools and students. This is possible if schools are open during that time. Options could include English language learning instruction, homestay with Canadian families, trips and excursions in Calgary and to areas in Southern Alberta.
- May or June Programs: May involve schools as well. This depends on the time of the visit and the needs of the visiting schools.
- July Program: International Summer School is held annually and schools can apply for a three or four week program. Other options may be available.
Chinook Learning Services can also offer courses to International classrooms in real time over the internet. These video classes can focus on conversational English or be designed to meet the needs of schools.
Suggested Dates
We suggest that you consider visiting Calgary in the spring or in the summer. Weather in Calgary during March and April is unpredictable. Snow is possible during these months so visitors should be prepared. Spring Break in Calgary schools is during this time and our students can be on vacation then. July is the most pleasant month. We hold the International Summer School annually. We can also tailor programs for interested schools.
We do not offer programs during August. |
