2. Who can borrow from the LRC? |
Users are required to have a Chinook Learning Services identification card. Other users can be accommodated on site and at the discretion of the LRC staff. |
3. What are your loan periods and circulation policies? |
Loan periods vary depending on demand and teacher requests.

4. What are your fines and costs for lost books? |
Fines: 25 cents per item per day (excludes weekends and holidays). With fines of over $1.00, borrowing privileges will be suspended until fines are paid. Unrecoverable materials: Current replacement price. Outstanding fines and materials may affect Performance Bonds or future registrations. |
5. Can I renew material that I have borrowed? |
Library materials may be renewed in person or by telephone (777-8963). No renewal is allowed on videos. |
6. How do I locate library materials on a particular subject? |
To locate materials in our library, you need to use the LRC on-line computer catalogue. We are using the MultiLis system. Search keywords from your topic in the Subject Headings index or Title index of the LRC on-line catalogue. |
7. Where and how are materials filed? |
All books, curriculum related materials, general interest materials etc. are shelved in call number order.
Audio-visual material is in call number order and located near the circulation desk in the LRC (includes the Math and Science video collections). |
8. What other special collections do you have? |
The LRC has special collections in ESL, Literacy, Math and Career Resources. They are situated at specific locations in the LRC. |
9. What are your photocopying and printing costs? |
Photocopying: 10 cents a page.
Black and white laser printing: 10 cents a page. |
10. Who has access to use the computer labs and Internet? |
Registered students may access the word processing and other software programs in the computer lab. Students must prepared to produce a Chinook I.D. card and use our computers in a responsible manner. Internet access is available to registered students only. |
