Course Description |
| Four topics are covered:
- Momentum and Impulse
- Forces and Fields
- Electromagnetic Radiation
- Atomic Physics

- Pearson Physics, rented from Bookroom
- Scientific calculator, or Alberta Education approved graphic calculator

Evaluation |
- Class mark: individual teachers will establish evaluation criteria during first class
- Final mark calculation will be class mark 50% and Diploma mark 50% except for mature students. Mature students are those who are 19 or older on September 1 of the current school year or hold a previously awarded high school diploma from the Province of Alberta or an equivalent high school diploma from a jurisdiction acceptable to the Minister. The mark for mature students is assigned in two ways. If the Diploma mark is higher than the class mark, the Diploma mark will be the final mark. If the Diploma mark is lower than the class mark, the final mark will be an average of the class mark and the Diploma mark.
