Hot Air Ballooning – An Introduction - New
1 Class - Fee: $75
Every year, hundreds of people take flights in hot air balloons. One of the best ways to increase the experience of hot air ballooning is to participate as an active crew member. Balloon flight is only possible with the help of ground crew who assist with set up, inflation, chase and finally packing up after the flight. Once you have experience as a crew member you will have learned the basics required to become involved in the sport. Perhaps you will have the passion to fly, commitment, patience and time to go forward with the training to become a hot air balloon pilot. This introductory course will give you the skills to become involved as a ground crew volunteer. Once you have completed this course you have the option of pursuing further involvement with the Calgary Balloon Club.
