Gothic art was an art movement that lasted about 200 years. It began in France out of the Romanesque period in the mid-12th century and by the late 14th century, it had evolved towards a more secular and natural style which continued until the late 15th century. Learn more about the Gothic Period and develop a deeper understanding through the use of charcoal and chalk pastels to produce a finished rendition of the major stylistic elements of this fascinating period.
